Change

Change

I know it can be scary

when change is on it’s way

I know you’d find it daunting

And simply rather stay

You cried when I told you

let’s try something new

You cried and then shouted

you’d rather stay with what you knew

You were quiet for a while

thinking about the change

You were simply wondering

what things will stay the same

I know it can be scary

but change can be so good

I know you’d need some time

before you understood

You said you thought about it

and were willing to maybe try

You said you’d be open

and almost made me cry

You were so nervous today

but eager to know

You were so excited

to give it a go

I know it can be scary

but you won from your fear

I am so very proud of you

you will love the coming year
