Circle
The circle is ingrained in all our conversations
We try to escape and follow a straight line
But gravity just pulls us back to centre
As we are slowly spinning out of control
You already know all that I am feeling
But I will explain it just once more
I will argue, raise my voice and let you know
You will listen, just a second and then raise yours
We will walk around in circles, round and round
In a never ending dance of blame and sadness
We both know all the steps that are to come
In this circle, we will never lose our way
Someday, this hurricane will pass
And life will guide us left or right
I long for the dizziness to disappear
And I fear all that we might find
So,
Just for one more day, one more
I will step back on this ride
